Name: Tina
Brief: Live university project with Habitat
Type: Lighting, Table Lamp
Material: Paper, Wire, ABS sheet, Metal base
We were asked by Habitat to design a piece of domestic lighting constructed primarily from paper. This table lamp, Tina, is based on packaging nets and the form of concertinas.
Due to the wire structure, in the folds of the lamp, when Tina is moved or adjusted it will hold that position. To wake up Tina and turn on the light you must adjust its position and the light will come on for 20 minutes, after which it will turn itself off. In order to keep Tina's light on you must give it continued attention. The top can also be opened allowing the light to spill out increasing the brightness.
