Local social networking through oral history.
This website concept utilises digital mapping, allowing users to tag locations and leave recorded messages / memories / stories about that area. This website offers people the chance to give a personal view of the places they have lived and been, building both a current and historical perspective, that can be catalogued and then heard by other people, tourists, visitors and possibly future generations.
Also preconceived to make users more aware of their neighbours and encourage interaction between members of the same community within a digital space, hopefully being mirrored in the real world.
This concept was devised for the GeoVation challenge, organised by Ordnance Survey. The brief was to explore innovative ways to use geographical information.
