Helen Storey MBE Exhibition
Name: Helen Storey MBE - from fashion to science Exhibition
Brief: KIN Design for London College of Fashion and Helen Storey
Type: Exhibition, Installation
Material: Audio / Visual, Tracing Paper with Polypropylene supports, LED Lighting
While I was working at KIN Design we were asked by London College of Fasion to design, construct and install an exhibition for the fashion designer Helen Storey, in celebration of her recently awarded MBE.
Inbetween four televisions, that showed a retrospective of Helen Storey’s work, we folded origami pannels, from tracing paper with polypropylene supports, that fitted together to form a 3D structure that grew out of the walls at a space in King’s Place, King’s Cross, where the exhibition was held. The structures were lit from behind with colour changing LED lighting.
In addition we also created a DVD showing a collection of Helen Storey’s work that was held in a CD case handmade from folded origami for the exhibition’s guests to take home with them.
